Poetry must remain kinetic

Wed Oct 29, 2008, 4:24 AM
I haven't pursued my interest in poetry for a while now.
I think I'm ready to dive back in.

Langston Hughes, Pablo Neruda, Edgar Allen Poe, Tristan Tzara...
I'll be seeing all of you very soon.

I'll probably start posting more now, I warn you that my poems are going to be largely influenced by a band by the name of "I Wrote Haikus About Cannibalism In Your Yearbook".

I'll leave you with the lyrics to one of their songs:

"I didn't cry at my father's funeral.
...I couldn't."

  • Listening to: I Wrote Haikus About Cannibalism In Your Yearbook
  • Reading: To Hell And Back - Frank Miller

Wow, didn't realise I did 13.
That's cool though, it's my lucky number! =)
Yeh, it is. Uni's boring, but I have the love of a beautiful girl so I'm happy.
You're such a great artist! You've really matured in both photography and poetry, not that I know all that much about either, but I like your new stuff even more than I used to like the old stuff.
How about you? How is living in SF now that you've settled in?

my dad and step mom will be living in upstate new york so I'll see them every now and then.
gonna be strange!
we are leaving on a two week road trip across america in mid september, and will end up in new york with a few days for me to get settled, and then I'm going to philadelphia lol.
we're going to new york this wednesday to look at houses and visit my new uni, and I'll be back with a few days to spare before I fly to LA and see my mom for two weeks (we may even go to mexico).
lots of traveling ahead of me.

Philedelphia, cool!
Photography, that's very good to hear. You have an obvious talent for it and I'm excited to hear that you're pursuing it.
The road trip sounds cool. Should be interesting. I always find them boring in Aus, but I imagine a different country would just be better. =P
LA? I didn't realise your Mum was there.
MEXICO?!?!! JEALOUSY!!! I wanna go soo bad!

I might take my second semester of 2nd year in Boston. I just came up with the idea the other day, but I'm already excited.
